Ten things about Wilson

  1. He loves the outdoors and sometimes cries when we make him come inside. When we crack the door open for any reason - letting Sophie out, checking the grill - he tries to sneak out.
  2. He loves to try to eat with a fork and spoon and sometimes refuses to eat without these props. We only let him use them for part of the meal because he stabs the fork to the plate and brings it up empty to his mouth. He's too skinny to only eat air with a fork for dinner each night.
  3. He is working on dropping a nap, so instead of a morning and afternoon nap he usually takes a slighly longer mid-day nap.
  4. He loves to wrestle with his dad. A lot. They do a lot of laughing together.
  5. He loves to hug and kiss his mom. A lot. This morning was my morning to sleep in (we alternate Sat and Sun) and Wilson woke me up with a big hug and slobbery kiss.
  6. He has roughly 12 teeth - four front teeth on top and bottom and a molar on each side, top and bottom.
  7. He still loves powercords and chargers but we're trying to get him to trasfer his love to jump ropes and the like.
  8. He is still a favorite of his care providers. And we're not just saying that because we're his parents. In fact, at the church nursery today one of the care providers declared him, "the best toddler she has ever had." And this, in front of all the other parents waiting to pick up their kids.
  9. He has learned how to throw tantrums. They start with a horrific look on his face in the form of an open frown, followed by a very pathetic cry that at first is so dramatic it doesn't make any sound, his whole body slumps as if like a rag doll and if you let it go long enough he will drop to the floor dramatically as if he cannot go on in the midst of just injustice. Getting a phone charger taken away is a good example of how to prompt this.
  10. He loves his dog and will chase her, hug and pat her and say, "awwww," and give her food. He likes to get his hands dirty and sticky with food and let Sophie lick them. He thinks it's terribly funny.
