October Fun

So, with the 40 degree weather we decided to give in and go with the flow of Fall. We turned the furnace on. We've been making all sorts of fall treats: pumpkin spice waffles that we froze for Wilson's breakfasts, pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, zucchini bread, apple dumpling and pumpkin pasta (sounds weird but tastes amazing!). We haven't been strapped for snacks lately.

Today, we carved our first pumpkin of the season and baked the seeds. Wilson mostly liked to jump on the newspaper we laid down to contain the mess, but he actually did a great job helping me sort pumpkin guts to pull out the seeds.

Here in this video you'll see that he is having a little trouble with the word "pumpkin." He keeps thinking we're asking him to "bump it."
