So, we all have had varying degrees of illness over this past week and therefore have been retiring early to the upstairs to flop on the bed and lay like slugs. Wilson only tolerates this level of inactivity for so long and asks us to read book, upon book, upon book...and this doesn't count the books that are required right before bedtime. Since I have been almost completely without a voice since Tuesday (and no end in sight) Kevin has been doing all of this reading. Once he gets tired and tell him, "No more books until bedtime" Wilson goes to his room and it gets very quiet. If we peek in, we'll find this:

What a little sweetie.
Beginning Thursday he started a new morning ritual - getting out of the crib himself. He did this again on Friday and again at the beginning of naptime. We're a bit torn on whether to move him to a big boy bed in response to this, or see if the novelty of climbing out will subside for a few months.
He obviously needs to make the transition before the end of July, but man, we were hoping to wait at least a few more months...the kid isn't even two yet!

Stephen was 15 months, Eleanor was 18 months, and both of them did great. I bet Wilson will think he is a rockstar if he gets his big boy bed!
