Evelyn is 18 weeks old. She did so awesome on our trip to Iowa for Thanksgiving. Great car ride both ways, happy as can be throughout the trip, and a decent little napper (thank you Kristi for the baby swing loan!), but the poor little thing was subjected to dress-up in her Thanksgiving outfit and her weekly photo right as she started to lose her cool. Right after this photo she had her longest daytime nap ever - nearly 6 hours! Whew, those road trips take it right out of a baby. In other weekly news, she is still sucking and chewing on her hands like crazy. She still looooves to talk and loooooves attention. She is as bright and sunny as can be when you sting and talk to her and make funny faces and she cries when she gets bored. Enter daddy making a funny face = happy as can be. She is also reaching and attempting to grab more. It take her awhile to get the grab and can only really grab soft and floppy objects right now. In the car ride back from Iowa we were playing with a beanie turkey and she looked so victorious when she grabbed its little wing and brought it to her mouth!
