Evelyn, Week by Week

Evelyn is 45 weeks old! Here she is in a cute top her Grandma Williams made for her (the little flower doubles as a pocket).

She is now climbing stairs. We didn't know the extent of her new skill until one morning Kevin heard the kids in the baby monitor - they had gone upstairs! Yikes! Now we have to pay a lot closer attention and the baby gate will be re-introduced to the Mangold household soon.

Both kids love playing outside and I had to break down and get a pair of shoes for Evelyn. She was ripping up her feet by crawling all around outside so her little shoes now protect them for the scrapes.

She loves to wave "hi," clap "patty-cake," attempts to do the "itsy-bitsy spider" and have we ever mentioned that she fake sneezes? This is really funny, but she stops all of her tricks once the video camera is out. Typical.

I head to NYC for work this week and will miss my little family back home! So, today we will be living it up, summer style, with a trip to the pool, grilling burgers, strawberry shortcake and iced tea with fresh mint.
