Wilson's first day of preschool

Tuesday Wilson went to his first day of preschool. His was so excited - no apprehension, just enthusiasm.

I took the day off so I could take him to school and pick him up on his first day.

That morning, we put Wilson's special chair cover on his seat. I made him a special treat (can we say sugar overload?) and ate the chocolate donut wheels for breakfast and saved the cake for after dinner.

We completed our first day of school time capsule. We measured his height with a piece of yarn and traced his hand so on the last day of school we can see how much we've grown. He answered some questions for me so we can see how much his tastes have changed, too.

Favorite Book: Tonka truck booksFavorite Show: The Ball Show (Wipeout, an obstacle course show)
Favorite color: green
Best friend: Daddy, "NOT Mommy" (I just told him he couldn't use the permanent markers
Iwas using)
Best little friend (since he always answers mommy or daddy to the first): Liam
Favorite Song: Rockabye Baby

He goes to Harvest Christian Academy Mondays and Tuesdays from 8-11:30 a.m. There are
8boys and 5 girls in his classroom with his teacher, Mrs. Kane.

The kids have canvas open-tote bags. Wilson was so proud to carry his with all of his school supplies. His school supplies were 1 box of baby wipes, 1 bottle of Clorox anywhere spray, two
black Sharpie markers, 3 glue sticks, 2 Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, and a box of Kleenex.

When I picked Wilson up the first thing he said to me was, "Mommy I didn't have fun." He said it was because Mrs. Kane said he couldn't play on the monkey bars or play in the playground for bigger kids. But, of course he had fun on the little kid playground, story time and playing with his classmates.
