Our hamburger and lil fry

Halloween is almost here and Wilson has been chomping at the bit for weeks for this event. As you'll remember, last year Wilson wanted to be a big bag of popcorn for Halloween. THis year, he really wanted to be a hot dog WITH a bun and ketchup. He was very specific. I was relieved to find that I could honestly tell Wilson I couldn't find a hot dog costume in his size. So, after much debate we landed on Peter Pan. After securing a costume on ebay for Wilson and Evelyn, we went for a quick trip to Old Navy one day and there he saw it - a hamburger costume in his size. Now, this is the silly part. I got it for him, even though I couldn't return the Peter Pan costume. He just was so stinkin' happy. He wears it around the house as much as possible and keeps trying to convince us to let him wear it to bed. So, today we got Halloween pictures of Peter Pan and Tinkerbelle. As for Halloween, we'll see which costume he decides to wear.

In other news, Wilson got school pictures last week and we're dying to see what they captured. He can be such a ham sometimes for the camera.

Evelyn is now sitting at the dinner table with the rest of us. She wants to eat what we're eating, how we're eating it (utensils). She's not getting much in her stomach with this method, but she refuses to eat if someone helps her. She's still our strong-willed little girl and the older she gets the more we're aware that we need to harness her personality for good. In the meantime, it can be a pretty taxing to listen to tantrum after tantrum as she very slowly starts to catch on that acting this way won't get her far. She seems to be in a permanent state of teething which makes her miserable and grumpy...yet no new teeth that we can see.
