Maribel is 10 weeks old! She is "talking" to us more now in those gurgly little noises that melt our hearts. We also learned that she does not like long car rides, folks. She did pretty good most of the way to Iowa, but on the way back we stopped 5 times and there was still lots of screaming, flailing of limbs and literal foaming at the mouth. Poor thing.
Just two weeks of maternity leave left and it's going to be hard to miss those smiles, giggles and coos she gives me throughout the day. This little girl does not like to be without her mama and a I'm feeling those familiar instinctive pangs of not wanting to abandon her for 10 hours each weekday!
