Wilson's first day of Kindergarten

Wednesday was Wilson's first day of school.  He was looking forward to his big day and even woke up early (as in, earlier than his usual 5:30 wake-up time).

He told me he was most looking forward to learning to read, and least looking forward to getting in trouble.

He has to pack two snacks for school each day, so we designated a drawer in the fridge to his snacks.  He picks out two each day, and packs them, along with an ice pack and water bottle in his lunch bag.  He then eats the lunch provided by the school.

When he got home on his first day he said his favorite part of the day was his snacks (head smack!).  But upon further probing he also enjoyed playing on the big kid playground at recess, meeting his fifth grade reading buddy and playing.
