This week we:
Played in the sprinklers
Wilson made us cinnamon toast
Went to see Minions at the drive-in movie.
Wilson continued his coding class and still LOVES it. He wants to be a video game coder. After he makes $150 doing it, he'll give the rest to me, he says.
Went boating.
Celebrated Evelyn's fifth birthday! Can't believe how big my little girl is getting!
We went to the American Girl store for the first time to get Evelyn's first AG doll. She was very decisive in her selections.
We had lunch in the cafe. They give you a little high chair for your friend.
They sang happy birthday and she was very shy about it (but also liked it). She's named her doll Gracie. Gracie has a chocolate lab she named Peachy.
So proud of our reader! He's working on his 12th chapter book right now and will read books as fast as I can find them at the library for him. So far his favorites are Minecraft fiction books, but he also loves the humor of Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. Barnes and Noble has a program where kids can earn a free book for reading 8 books over the summer, and Wilson chose 13 Story Treehouse from the list of books (which he's already read but liked).
Wilson also worked more on riding his bike without training wheels and he went around our block 3 times. He was so proud!
We still like taking bike rides on the trails near our house. We like to stop to see all the neat little bits of nature, like this furry caterpillar.
