Happy Valentine's! Late...

By now, grandparents and great-grandpa should have received a Valentine from Wilson. Here is the process for which we made what ended up to look like funny little Valentines. I also caught a picture of the process from which we made homemade Shrinky Dinks. We found a tutorial online for upcycling a specific plastic to make them. So Wilson colored the plastic with permanent markers (not for the faint of heart), we cut them into hearts and popped them in the oven. Good thing we didn't film this, because as it turns out putting a toddler's crafts into the oven is more traumatizing than fun. We turned the hearts into keychains that, well, it's okay if grandparents would rather file in the drawer :) Maybe a good project to repeat a few years down the road.
