In honor of Wilson turning two, I thought I'd post a few tidbits about Wilson at this point in his life.
Favorite activity: reading lots of books and playing outdoors. He collapses into fits of tears when we tear him away from playing outdoors.
Favorite TV show: He's pretty non-discriminating, but as of late Mickey Mouse Club House is his favorite cartoon. He also likes America's Funniest Home Videos and gives an exaggerated laugh when he senses something especially funny has just happened. He also loved when the basketball tourney was on and he liked to shoot hoops in the living room along with the players on TV.
Fun Milestones: being potty trained before his 2 year birthday (for the most part), graduating to a big boy bed and coming up with funny new things to say every day. Tuesday morning the first thing he said when he woke up was "High ball (high pitched), low ball (low pitched). Balls on the wall" from a book we hadn't read to him in at least a week. He also likes to show us his, "Muscles! Grrr!"
Favorite toys: Trucks and any toy that resides outdoors.
Favorite food: bananas, chicken nuggets, pizza and maccaroni. Heaven help us. At least he LOVES fruit.
Independence: Wilson now shushes people when he wishes they would stop singing or talking to him. Nice. We also had our first run-away incident two weeks ago. We were letting fresh air in through the patio screen when all of a sudden the house was quiet...and Wilson was gone. He wasn't anywhere in immediate site and we had about 7 neighbors helping us span the immediate area within seconds. We found him next door on the opposite side of the house playing in their sandbox. Heart is still in my throat.
On being a big brother: Wilson knows he's having a baby sister and when he is reminded of it it hugs and kisses mommy's belly. Poor kid has no idea what he's really in for.
