A Day in the Life

This Thursday I decided to keep my camera with me to take images that captured "a day in the life" this summer. It was hard to trim these down to just 20 photos!

From top row to bottom; left to right:

1. Maribel has had croup and woke up grumpy and needy for Mommy
2. Making Get Well cards for Great Uncle Bill
3. Free play time in the basement
4. Evelyn's owie and subsequent Disney Princess Bandaid. Not sure how she got the owie.
5. Maribel woke up still grumpy and not feeling well.
6. Evelyn and Maribel snuggling during screen time watching Frozen. This didn't last long - Maribel doesn't like to be distracted at all during this movie by pesky touching.
7. Making the kids' latest flavor for the summer ice cream truck (more on that later). Today's recipe: Birthday Cake Ice Cream. These are the frosting bits.
8. This one is a bit out of order and happened first thing in the morning. Every day I have some sort of activity or experiment for the kids. That day Kevin made a geyser out of Diet Coke and Mentos for the kids. It did not disappoint!
9. Wilson playing Minecraft during his screen time.
10. Kids playing in the backyard.
11. On the way to Wilson's afternoon sports camp.
12. Walking to the ball field. That day was "jersey Thursday" and they played baseball and basketball. He's deemed his favorite sports, in order: soccer, baseball and basketball.
13. Back home and Evelyn didn't want to take a nap. She lost her book because of her tantrum and she then went on and on about it. Overheard in her room during a tantrum, "I don't want to be a little girl anymore. I wish I was a big girl because big girls don't need their mommies!"
14. & 14. Fast asleep
15. - 17. After Wilson is back home from sports camp and Kevin gets home from work, he walks Wilson to the ball field to hit balls. 

It was a good day!
