As mentioned above, Wilson turned 7 and celebrated with video games and laser tag with his friends at the bowling alley. We also celebrated as a family the night before with Wilson's favorite meal - frozen pizza - and some green punch in the theme of his favorite game/book topic: Minecraft.
Wilson and I have been wanting to try a terrarium, so when I got most of the supplies for free, we gave it a whirl this weekend. We thought it looked like Yoda's home, so we added a little Yoda Lego man.
Since everyone was sick for St. Patrick's Day, we had a "make-up" day today. We went on a scavenger hunt for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. These kids just love a good scavenger hunt.
Evelyn and I went to see Cinderella yesterday. At the end she went to the front of the movie theater and we danced to the music in the credits like nobody was watching. The sweetness of the moment still makes me a little misty.
And Maribel just keeps us smiling everyday. Lately when she's hungry she gets very demanding. She climbs into her high chair and shrieks until it's time to eat. Sometimes she sits there patiently as if sitting in the chair is her own proactive way of moving things along more quickly. A few nights ago she fell asleep waiting. That's a first for us!
When she removed the blankets from this basket and crawled inside I took a quick snap. She won't be this small much longer.
