Spring Decorating

I've never been much of a seasonal decorator, aside from Christmas. But as a mom I feel it's my sworn duty to bring a little wonder to every season and holiday. Sure, I know he doesn't understand it now, but it takes a couple of years to build up a sufficient stash of Easter decorations.

We started with just six eggs this year. When Wilson finally went down for his morning nap yesterday, the conversation started something like, "Hey Kevin, do you feel like scrambled eggs for breakfast?" He dutifully blew out the eggs and I painted them with acrylic paints and, later, a pearl finish. I promised him we would only have to do a couple a year from here on out. By the time Wilson gets into Easter decorations we'll have enough eggs to have a proper Easter Tree.
I also tried my hand at a few mod podge eggs using the plastic variety as the base. They didn't turn out as cute as I'd hoped so I stopped at two. I had a lot of brilliant ideas but stopped at the trifle bowl centerpiece and apothecary jars (a gift from Alicia) on the end table.
