I wish I could report Wilson is on the mend, but we hit a low point last night. He woke up at midnight with a fever of over 105 and couldn't be consoled. We then encontered a first - he threw up. On me. And the chair, quilt, blanket, stuffed animals....on everything but himself. I never knew I had the capacity, or instinct maybe, that would compel me to hold on to him even tighter in that type of situation and feel bad for him rather than revolted by the vomit on me. At least, at the time. That came later.
He awoke this morning with less of a fever but is still feeling awful.
And when it rains it, er, snows. The rain and sleet turned to snow and we got quite a bit of accumulation between our midnight encounter and the morning. So Kevin had to get up early to plow his office parking lot. Then the power went out at the office and some equipment fried leaving them a bit crippled. All this before 9:00 a.m. Hopefully the rest of our weekend is less eventful.
