Memorial Day Weekend

We took a four day weekend to visit Wilson's grandma and grandpa Mangold in Storm Lake. They generously offered to fly us out there in the hopes that it would be a little easier on Wilson...and perhaps his parents, too.

He did great on the way down. We had a fun weekend and got to see a bit of his aunt and uncle Alicia and Brett, too. Wilson had a lot of firsts this weekend besides the limo ride and plane ride - he drove his first riding lawnmower. He liked steering so much, he even helped his grandpa steer the boat on Saturday.

We also saw him dance more than I've ever seen him dance. It was super cute...but I wasn't able to ever really catch it on camera.

When we got to the Omaha airport Wilson made friends with a little girl about 4 months older than he. It was so funny that he kept hugging her, and hugging her...and hugging her more. And you know when he hugs he puts his arms around you, leans his head in and sighs, "Awwwwww." His little friend wasn't sure what to do with all that love.

The only damper to the weekend was that Wilson got progressively sick while we were there. We're still not sure if it was allergies, a sinus infection...or what. But by the time we boarded the plane for the trip home, he was DONE. All he wanted to do was sleep and it took him the majority of the trip - and a lot of screaming, to our neighbors' dismay - to fall asleep. Whew!

I have some fun pictures to post once our laptop gets back from the computer doctor :)
