Evelyn, Week by Week

Evelyn Claire is 20 weeks old!

It is just so hard to believe our baby is approaching 6 months old! This realization dawned on me when I finally accepted she has grown out of her 3 month footed rompers. In some ways it's unreal since she is not where Wilson was developmentally at this time. She still doesn't have mastery over grasping things and isn't ready to tripod (sitting using hands as balance) quite yet. She's just now started more laughing, something Wilson did a lot earlier. But, she thrives on our attention I believe more than Wilson ever did. She would much rather interact with us than play with toys and Wilson was more content to play in his play yard or exersaucer.

This week was my first business trip away from Evelyn. She had a horrible night Sunday night and Kevin got only 3 hours of sleep - sweet Evelyn probably got less, according to him. Monday night she only woke up once, Tuesday when I was back the same thing, then Wednesday she slept through the night!!!! At least, I think that's the timeline. Everything feels like a blur to Kevin and I these days. I said, she slept through the night, that's going in her baby book! But now we can't even remember which night was. Regardless, she's back to her old, waking multiple times ways.

During the day she has been smiling and giggling her way into our hearts to make up for it all.
