We laugh a lot in our house with Wilson around. He has a funny imagination - here are some of his latest funnies.
- The day before his birthday he was playing with doll and stroller and pretending the doll was Evelyn and his cousin Landon. They were making a big mess and Wilson kept going to "check his list." That's right. He was Santa and Wilson and Evelyn were not on the "nice" list and kept having to get time-out.
- The day after his birthday he was really concerned that a monster was eating his leftover birthday cake. Again with the time outs and yelling. He's always so dramatic with this with furrowed brows and finger pointing. It makes us wonder, "Do we sound this awful when we're disciplining him?"
- On the drive home from Iowa I crawled into the backseat with Evelyn was having a meltdown. Wilson leaned over to me and said sincerely, "I'm so glad you're not a dinosaur" (pronounced DIMEasour).
- Wilson got a pretend fireman kit for his birthday and goes through each item in his fireman rescues. The other night he was rescuing Evelyn and I from a monster, but first he got his walkie talkie and told someone about it, got his binoculars out and confirmed that yep, there was a monster, put his hat, badge and utility belt on before then getting out his axe and getting rid of the monster for us. He enacts similar acts of heroism with the black and decker tool kit he got for Christmas.
- He's really into Buzz Lightyear lately (is Buzz the new Lightning McQueen?). Last night while watching the movie he saw the villan from Toy Story 2 put Woody into his satchel and take him away. Wilson took his toy Woody and put him in his Lighting McQeen "treasure chest" and took him away.
- He has started to make up his own "songs." The lyrics are usually hilarious. Yesterday it was all about the "pool, pool, pool, pool" and everything that goes on there. Today there was a little bathroom humor in his songs.
- Lastly, here are some funny pics of Wilson. Evelyn gets so much camera play that I always make sure he gets in on it as well. I asked him to show me "happy" "sad" "mad" and "dad" yesterday. Can you guess which one is "dad?" Like I said, lots of laughs in our house.
Also of note - he can now button his clothes. Color me impressed.
