Crying Over Spilled Milk

I just witnessed where the phrase "crying over spilled milk" probably came from - a little boy getting too grabby with mom's drink. I think the surprise of cold milk on his face and soaking his clothes was traumitizing enough that it won't happen again soon. Well, for the weekend, anyway.
