This May, Wilson's classroom had a "Kindergarten Camp Out." This was Wilson's favorite event of the year. Each kid was outfitted with camping and hiking gear, with a little canvas bag filled with binoculars, magnifying glass, a bark pencil, paper, tweezers for bugs and other nature items, and more. They went on a hiking scavenger hunt, roasted s'mores and hot dogs, had worship time outdoors and played some games. Throughout the event, they earned badges for participating in each event.
