Wilson's Feet

Wilson's feet have always been a bit of a novelty. Tonight Kevin and I were reminded of Wilson's first day of life, when the L&D nurses were giggling about how large his ink-footprints were.

I took Wilson to a much needed shoe-fitting at Stride Rite. I decided he needed a good pair of shoes now that he's walking, and since he has taken major issue with his last few pair I figured a proper fit could only help. As of his one year birthday I squeezed him into a pair of size 3's that he only wore a handful of times (and usually kicked off within minutes). Just today we had him size 4 sandals. Our friendly Stride Rite saleswoman informed us Wilson is a size 6.

In my defense, she told us the average one year old wears size 4 or 5.

Watching Wilson walk around the store in his size 6's reminded me of a lab puppy - little body with big adorable feet.

We love StrideRites! My kids get one pair of shoes at a time. Oh, and by the way, Stephen wears a size 8, but only because he was in a size 7 for a full year and I refused to buy him the same size. He seriously wore holes in them. So yes, Wilson's feet do seem quite large to me.

A 6??? Wowsa!! I just put Max in 4's...although he probably should have been in them a couple weeks ago. I think Max's are a bit small...that is absolutely hillarious!!! I think the 5's look big....I can't imagine the 6's on little skinny tall Wilson! :)
