Evelyn, Week by Week (and other happenings)

Evelyn Claire is 23 weeks old! She is grasping so much better now and seems to be teething. She seems to have a little pain/fussiness, drooling and is constantly wanting to chew on her toys and hands. We think we feel a top eye tooth coming in . She still loves the independence of her exersaucer and likes to spend more time in it. She can be heard making happy sounds while she explores all the toys in it. She is getting a little better at self soothing, and at times can be found asleep with 2 or 3 fingers in her mouth.

It's hard to see, but she is wearing her John Deere onesie - we were inspired by Wilson's 23 week picture (click link).

Speaking of Wilson, he has the flu this week. He has been feeling awful. His tummy hurts, he wants to sleep it off, yet he can't sleep well because he has to use the potty and doesn't feel good. This equates to 2-3 solid hours of sleep at a time, tops. Then he's awake and upset. It's a vicious cycle.

In other news, when Wilson is awake and happy we have really noticed more "imaginary friends." However, his imaginary friends don't seem to be very nice. He gets in very heated arguments with them for saying, "no" to him and taking his toys. He also associates imaginary friends to stuffed animals at times. It's very stange to see your 2 year old tackling a teddy bear for being mean to him. And man, does that bear seem to like to provoke him.
