Evelyn, Week by Week

Sweet E-Claire is 25 weeks old. That's dangerously close to 6 months old!

And get this, she has been sleeping through the night! Not consistently, but enough that we can see a light at the end of that bleary, can't-keep-our-eyes-open, sleep-deprivation tunnel. When she made up her mind to drop the swaddle, it was life changing. Amen.

She makes these cute faces, not caught on camera or video yet, where she sticks out her tongue when she's concentrating (just like her daddy and brother do). Other times she sucks on her bottom lip giving her a cabbage patch kid look. She loooves her toys and likes to pick them up, gnaw on them and shake them until another one gets her attention.

Based on her demands, we think she wishes she could stand before sitting or crawling. She would prefer to stand and explore the world that way. But, she's not independent. She really enjoys her exersaucer but wishes someone could be holding her at all times.

She's a lot more aware of her surroundings and especially in new situations like church, she loves to people watch.

She has acted interested in other people eating for months, but she still just kind of gums her rice cereal. Maybe she's just waiting for more interesting food to come along.
